Abstract:
This study investigates the role of work engagement on innovation and the moderating effect
of job resources at Alphabeta and Lydians International School in Ghana. Using a quantitative
approach, data was collected from 100 employees through questionnaires. The research
examined the impact of work engagement on innovation, types of job resources, and their
moderating effect on the engagement-innovation relationship. Findings reveal high levels of
work engagement and a strong innovation culture among staff. Job resources such as respect,
work-life balance, and role clarity were identified as strengths, while monetary rewards and
trust in management showed room for improvement. The study concludes that work
engagement positively influences innovation, moderated by job resources. Recommendations
include leveraging the existing engagement culture, enhancing reward strategies, and
implementing leadership development programs to foster innovation and satisfaction in these
educational settings.
