dc.description.abstract The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming various industries, with administrative roles, particularly those of secretaries, being significantly impacted. This study investigates the factors influencing secretaries' intentions to adopt AI in their professional practices. Drawing on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and related theories, this research explores the roles of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitudes towards AI in shaping adoption intentions. Additionally, the study considers external factors such as organizational support, job security concerns, and ethical considerations. Through a quantitative approach, questionnaires were used to collect data from one hundred and forty respondents. The research provides a comprehensive understanding of the facilitators and barriers to AI adoption. The study found that perceived ease of use and perceive usefulness, have positive influence on secretaries’ intentions to adopt artificial intelligence (AI). The study recommends that AI should be integrated in to the administrative functions of secretaries, this means that AI should be involved in all training programs, to enhance secretaries’ usage and address the potential fears related to job displacement. Ultimately, this study contributes to the broader discourse on AI adoption in the workplace, emphasizing the need for a nuanced approach to technology integration that considers the unique perspectives of secretarial professionals en_US
