dc.description.abstract To solve the issues of restricted access to virtual learning environments and improve online learning experiences, Koforidua Technical University's Computer Science Department is developing a mobile application for a virtual classroom. There are insufficient features in KTU's current Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that prevent real-time communication, engagement, and collaboration. In order to create a more dynamic and engaging virtual classroom experience, this project suggests a mobile application with powerful features like video conferencing, chat rooms, class scheduling, and messaging. The application was developed iteratively with an emphasis on flexibility and continual improvement using the. Agile methodology. The mobile app's primary features include resource management, offline access, real-time audio and video classes, and user identification. These features were created to solve connectivity issues, especially in remote locations, and to make it easier for students and lecturers to communicate. Based on a comparative investigation, it was found that current virtual classroom technologies like Zoom, Google Classroom, and Blackboard Collaborate are inadequate for meeting the specific requirements of KTU's learning environment. This void is filled by the KTU E-Class mobile app, which provides better data protection, increased accessibility, and convenience of use. According to test results, the software greatly enhances the virtual learning environment overall and makes it easier for instructors and students to engage in remote learning communities. The study finds that improving virtual education, encouraging a collaborative learning environment, and increasing student engagement may all be accomplished with the help of the KTU E-Class smartphone app. To increase the application's usability and impact for a larger user 4 base, future work will concentrate on incorporating sophisticated analytics, extending system compatibility, and investigating cost-reduction technique. en_US
